This time, Xiaomi has launched its new flagship series – Xiaomi 12 in Mainland China, featuring Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro with powerful displays. This latest flagship series is a new addition to Xiaomi’s portfolio.
Advanced Innovations with Xiaomi
The Xiaomi 12 Series will feature Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro, equipped with advanced Qualcomm chipset, Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. The series feature Armv9 architecture with next-gen GPU capabilities and 7th gen AI engine, making the performance five times better than the previous iteration.
The 3 circuits ISP packed inside can process 18-bit data, increasing the sampling capacity by 4096 times. Both flagship models come with LPDDR5 RAM, supporting a transfer rate of 6400Mbps with a next-gen UFS 3.1 storage performance, presenting 1450Mbps sequential write speeds.
The Xiaomi 12 also packs a cooling system with 2600mm2 VC soaking plate, a graphite heat dissipating plate of 10000mm2, and a white graphene-covered antenna.
On the other hand, Xiaomi 12 Pro features an even bigger VC plate- 2900mm2 and 3 graphic sheets to enhance the smooth and gliding performance.
Powerful Display
Xiaomi 12 presents a Display Mate A+ OLED screen of 6.28-inches, along with 2400X1080 resolution, 1100 nits brightness, and 120Hz refresh rate. Also, it presents 16000 brightness level adjustments and TrueColor display, thereby representing over 1 billion colors on display.
Similarly, the Xiaomi 12 Pro comes with a 2nd Generation 2K display with a 6.73-inch screen. Moreover, it uses LTPO and micro-lens technology and Samsung E5 material to let users enjoy a fantastic viewing experience.
Also, the 12 Pro supports 3200 X 1440 resolution with 1000 nit HBM and 1500 nit brightness. Both models offer HDR10+ and Dolby vision, offering users incredible viewing and display.
Xiaomi 12 Series has made an imaging capability revolution with the all-new imaging computing algorithm, greatly enhancing capture rates for rapid, reliable imaging output.
Xiaomi 12 comes with Sony IMX766 main camera along with a 13MP wide-angle camera and a 5MP tele macro one. On the other hand, 12 Pro features 50MP triple cameras including a Sony IMX707 main camera using 2.44μm 4-in-1 pixels.

Both the models bring symmetrical dual speakers specially designed for audiophiles. Supporting Dolby Atmos, the models provide a natural and immersive sound experience; NFC and IR blaster capabilities enhance efficiency and convenience.
Xiaomi 12 comes with a 4500mAh battery, with a compact architecture, whereas 12 Pro features 120W, 4600mAh battery, the first-ever in the industry. Also, there is Xiaomi’s signatory Surge P1 charging IC, offering both enhanced capacity and output.
Xiaomi debuted MIUI 13 during the launch of the flagship 12 series in Mainland China, focusing on enhancing core functionalities. The MIUI is believed to offer an all-around upgrade, offering users a stable software experience.
The brand also noted that the MIUI 13 would extend beyond smartphones and penetrate all IoT devices, like smartwatches, TVs, and much more. However, the first device to be run on MIUI 13 will be the flagship Xiaomi 12 series.
Xiaomi 12 will be presented in three variants in China- 8GB+ 128GB/256GB and 12GB+256GB, with prices ranging from RMB 3699, 3999, and RMB 4399, respectively.
Similarly, Xiaomi 12 Pro will be featured in 3 variants, with prices ranging from RMB 4699, 4999, and 5399, respectively. Both models will be available from December 31st in black, blue, purple, or green variants.
Also, besides the flagship products, the brand has released three wearable devices in new colors – Xiaomi Watch S1, Xiaomi Buds 3, and Buds 3 Pro.
