Xbox All Set to Launch Capcom Fighting Collection on June 24, Pre-orders Starting Now on Xbox Store

All the Xbox gamers can rejoice with this great news as Microsoft has announced that they are all set to launch Capcom Fighting Collection on June 24. The pre-orders for this game are also live on the Xbox Store.

Capcom also took their Twitter to announce this great news. The great news is that the Capcom Fighting Collection is not just Xbox exclusive and will be available for Nintendo Switch, Steam and PS4 as well. This is great news for all the gamers who use different gaming setups.

The Capcom Fighting Collection brings ten of the most stunning fighting games in the arcade genre. In fact, it has two Darkstalkers games that were just exclusive to Japan so far. All of the games in the collection have online play support combined with rollback netcode. This gives gamers the chance to show their gaming skills and play with some of the best players in the world.

Both Xbox and Capcom are pushing it hard and giving a lot of pre-order benefits for users who are going to pre-order the game. The benefits include music remixes from renowned artists like Knxwledge, Cap-Jams, Mndsgn, Olive Oil, Keizomachine!, and Matt Cab. Not only that, users who pre-order the game will also get exclusive illustrations from Yuri Kataiwa, Sakutamo, Ryuji Higurashi, Tamio, and Chisato Mita. These illustrations will have characters from each game given a touch by the artists in their own way.

List of Games in The Capcom Fighting Collection

There are ten games in the new Capcom Fighting Collection coming on June 24 this year:

  • Darkstalkers: The Night Warriors
  • Night Warriors: Darkstalkers’ Revenge
  • Vampire Savior: The Lord of Vampire
  • Vampire Hunter 2: Darkstalkers’ Revenge (First official release in North America)
  • Vampire Savior 2: The Lord of Vampire (First official release in North America)
  • Red Earth (First release outside of arcades)
  • Cyberbots: Fullmetal Madness
  • Super Gem Fighter Mini Mix
  • Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo
  • Hyper Street Fighter II

Although there are 10 games in the collection, Microsoft has mainly focused on two games namely Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo(1996) and Super Gem Fighter Mini Mix(1997).

Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo (1996)

As per Microsoft, one of the best games from the Capcom Fighting Collection is the Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo. And the reason why this game is great is that it combines a little bit of every game in the collection including Darkstalkers, Street Fighter, etc. to make an exciting puzzle game.

The concept of the game is a bit different as here you drop gems on a board to fight an opponent instead of directly attacking them. There are two modes in the game: the Classic Puzzle Game Style and then the Classic Fighting Game Style. So if you want the brains approach, you can take it and if you want to brawl, you can do that as well.

To make the game interesting, every character in the game gets their unique pattern of Counter Gems. So here you have to pick the right character to win the game.

Super Gem Fighter Mini Mix (1997)

The next great game in the collection is the Super Gem Fighter Mini Mix. If you love the aesthetics of Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo but miss the fighting element in the game then this one brings them both into one.

You get miniature characters from Puzzle Fighter along with some new ones in this game and it just brings the true ethos of fighting games. The best way to enjoy this game is to play it in the traditional fighting game style where you can kick, punch, land combos, and even land some special moves. There are some engaging animations for an immersive gaming experience and you also get the option to change costumes. Overall, the game is just great!

As mentioned earlier, the Capcom Fighting Collection for Xbox is up for pre-order now on the Xbox Store. You can pre-order it now for USD 39.99 and get some exclusive benefits like music remixes and illustrations from popular artists. Are you interested in the upcoming Capcom Fighting Collection?
