Sony Corporation has announced the arrival of Uncharted 4’s PlayStation 5 upgrade on January 28, 2022. Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves collection is set to release in January for PS 5 and launched for PC, both on Steam and Epic Games Store later.
The new upgrade can pack remastered versions of Uncharted 4 games: A Thief’s End and The Lost Legacy, releasing early next year.

The collection has a multitude of new graphical updates. A new fidelity Mode is available for individuals who want to experience Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection with a target frame rate of 30FPS besides enjoying a 4K display.
The high frame rate update from the PS4 versions of the game is also back, aiming for 60 frames per second. Performance+ Mode, which aims at 120 frames per second at a 1080p resolution, is available to players with a suitable 120 Hz monitor.
Thanks to the PS5 console’s performance, the loading speed is much faster, allowing players to leap into the action quicker than the characters draw their weapons. With Spatial 3D Audio, users can hear where the shots are originating from and immerse themselves in the atmosphere of both games’ environments.
Sony has further adjusted the rumble and resistance, leveraging the haptic feedback and adaptive trigger of the DualSense wireless controller. Users can feel the 4×4 vehicles roll along in their hands and get immersed in the game with smooth control. The gaming experience has never been more thrilling.
User Upgrade
The digital and hard versions of the game come for $50. Players who have already owned Uncharted 4 games, or the digital bundle, can get the Legacy of Thieves digital version for $10.
There are, however, some limitations to this collection. For starters, just the single-player campaigns of both games are included in this edition, and the PS4 multiplayer component is absent.
People who use PS4 versions of these titles must upgrade them to the new PS5 whenever they wish to download or play the electronic versions. Furthermore, PS4 disc owners with the PS5 Digital Edition, who doesn’t have minimum disk space, are not entitled to the PS5 version of the cheap upgrade.
Players who brought the Thief’s End model over their PlayStation+ subscription are not eligible for the downloadable upgrade of $10. Besides, there is a promotional tie-in with Uncharted: The Movie is expected soon.
From now until February 3, 2022, players who purchase or upgrade to Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection on the PlayStation Store can earn a promo code for one ticket to the film, which may open on February 18, 2022.
However, this offer is applicable for users in certain countries only. It can be purchased by visiting retail stores or digital stores to buy the PlayStation 5 console at 49.99USD/€49.99 MSRP.
Sony provides more information regarding the PC edition of the collection, including specifications and a launch date, as we approach 2022. With the introduction of a new PlayStation PC label, Sony has started proactively placing its older products on PC.
