Audio-Technica is a renowned brand when it comes to consumer electronics in the audio industry. But they are also the flag bearer when it comes to innovations in transducer technology and providing enterprise solutions.
Recently, they have announced a new Beamforming Ceiling Array Microphone called the ATND1061. The microphone is a perfect solution for conference rooms, board rooms, and other meeting rooms in an office space no matter how small or big they are.
Audio-Technica focused highly on the design of the new ATND1061 Beamforming Ceiling Array Microphone as it is merely the size of a WiFi access point and quite easy to install, set up and operate.
About the New ATND1061 Beamforming Ceiling Array Microphone
The ATND1061 has a beamwidth of 90-degrees and a maximum input sound level of 102dBSPL. It comes with a frequency response of 60Hz to 18,000Hz along with a sensitivity of -8 dBFS (1 kHz, 94 dBSPL).
The new Beamforming Ceiling Array Microphone is designed in a way that it can be easily used as a single unit or can be combined in multiples for larger rooms. This microphone can easily capture every person who speaks in the room and can record clear natural audio.
Along with the ATND1061, you also get the Digital Microphone Manager software from Audio-Technica. Using this software, users can seamlessly handle room configuration, zone setup, and various other settings. The software has a clean and simple UI making it highly user-friendly.
To make it easy for the users to cover room sizes and types of meetings, the ATND1061 microphone comes with six individual output channels. These can be collectively configured with up to 32 user-defined microphone pickup zones.
Users can configure the Output Channel 1 with up to 16 user-defined Coverage Zones to make sure that the microphone can cover any unplanned participants.
Then users can configure Output Channels 2–6 with up to 16 user-defined Priority Zones which makes sure that the microphone picks the voices of priority participants.
Users can set up a maximum of five Priority Zones that can be open at a time. Each zone selects the strongest signal identified as speech.
This makes sure that everyone is speaking in the room gets recorded perfectly with clear audio.
The microphone forms 90-degree orthogonal beams across all the output channels that can focus on a particular point in space. As a result, the microphone does eliminate any unwanted noise.
The new ATND1061 Beamforming Ceiling Array Microphone comes with the latest Voice Activity Detection(VAD) technology. With this technology, the microphone can smartly distinguish between a voice and unnecessary voices such as paper rustling, pens falling, etc.
This microphone comes with a built-in DSP(Digital Signal Processing) which eliminates the need for an external DSP. The onboard DSP also comes with automix, acoustic echo cancellation (AEC), noise reduction, automatic gain control (AGC), and four-band EQ.
Users can easily set up exclusion zones so that the microphone can avoid any known sources of unwanted noise such as the ventilation systems. Combined with the built-in noise reduction and software, users can record crystal clear audio of the users.
The ATND1061 also comes with an IR remote so that users can mute the microphone with the remote itself. Users can also recall presets or use the remote to turn on/off the Power Save Mode.
Audio-Technica also offers a lot of options to mount the ATND1061 Beamforming Ceiling Array Microphone. It supports flush mounting, surface mounting, or VESA mounting.
The design and color of the microphone are ideal for all surfaces and ceiling types and it is UL 2043 compliant for installation in plenum spaces. Audio-Technica includes all the mounts, wiring, mounting hardware, and accessories with the microphone.
The ATND1061 Beamforming Celining Array Microphone is a top-class microphone for conference rooms, board rooms, and other meeting rooms. It also comes with a handsome price tag of USD 2,650 making it a product for offices that need microphones.
