AMD has some great news for gamers having the old socket AM4 motherboards. The brand is now going to roll out a BIOS update that will now allow people to use Ryzen 5000 Series desktop processor with their oldest socket AM4 motherboards.
The motherboards that will get this update include X370, A320 and B350 chipset. So now all the gamers with old hardware can get the Zen 3 performance on their rigs. The BIOS update will enable players to even install the AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D. This processor comes with AMD 3D V-Cache technology which gives substantial gaming performance boost.
The BIOS update that will enable users to install new Zen 3 processors on their 300-series motherboard from MSI is called AMD AGESA COMBO PI V2 184.108.40.206 BIOS. So if you want to use Zen 3 processors on your rig, this is the BIOS that you will have to update on your device.
The first update for the BIOS will be coming for MSI 300 series ad the 220.127.116.11 BIOS will be rolled out for this series in the middle of May.
Then the beta BIOS will be coming 500 and 400 series motherboards starting June. The update is said to help fixing fTPM intermittent performance stuttering issues.
