Sony is one of the top brands in providing sound solutions to customers. Recently, Sony announced a software update for its premium soundbars, the HT-A7000 and HT-A5000 which will add 360 Spatial Sound Mapping capabilities to both of them.
The 360 Spatial Sound Mapping was first featured in the HT-A9 Home Theater system the previous year and it is well-received among customers.
Customers will be able to use the 360 Spatial Sound feature by connecting these soundbars to the currently available SA-RS3S wireless rear speakers. This feature will also be available with the new SA-RS5 wireless rear speakers which are all set to launch in spring 2022.
The 360 Spatial Sound Mapping feature from Sony allows users to feel sound from every direction and distance. This gives a more immersive sound experience to the users no matter where they sit in a room.
The soundbar achieves this by measuring the relative height and position of the soundbar and speakers using the built-in microphones. Then the technology creates virtual speakers using positional information and synthesizing sound waves. This allows the speakers and soundbar to cover every part of the living space.
Customers with BRAVIA XR television can enhance this experience even more. With the Acoustic Center Sync, your BRAVIA XR TV and the soundbar both become a center speaker as part of the 360 Spatial Sound Mapping. As a result, you get clear dialogues and an immersive experience.
If you already have either of the premium soundbars(HT-A7000 or HT-A5000) from Sony then it will be good to wait for the new SA-RS5 wireless rear speakers. The new wireless speakers are all set to launch in spring 2022 and they will bring a lot of cool features and a richer 360 Spatial Sound experience.
The new SA-RS5 wireless rear speakers are designed to provide the best sound quality and wide directivity for 360 Spatial Sound when combined with a compatible soundbar. With an up-firing speaker position, these speakers can provide a richer and more immersive sound experience to the users. The speakers also have amazing battery life and can give you up to 10 hours of playtime.
Immersive and Crystal Clear Sound: The up-firing speakers help to reflect sound off the ceiling so that users get immersive overhead audio. Then the wide directivity woofers and soft dome tweeters help in creating crystal clear sound. The dual passive radiators clear the low-end tones which gives the bass a boost.
Superb Battery Life: These speakers can give you 10 hours of playback time on a full charge. With just 10 minutes of quick charge, users can get 90 minutes of playback time. The speakers also have the option to use AC power connections making them available for dual-use.
Easy Installation and Maintenance: Users can easily charge them anywhere and then connect them automatically with a compatible soundbar. With no wires required for connections, the setup is easy to install and maintain.
One-Touch Calibration: The SA-RS5 features OPTIMIZE buttons and dual microphones on each speaker. By pressing the OPTIMIZE button, users can activate Sound Field Optimization. This will measure the distance between the speakers and ceiling using the dual microphones and optimize the sound experience for the room.
Great Design: The speakers have a cylindrical design with a flat rear surface which goes quite well with the compatible soundbars and any room.

The SA-RS5 wireless rear speakers will most likely be priced at USD 599.99 and will be available at authorized dealers in Spring 2022.
