The Bang & Olufsen Beosound A1 is an excellent premium Bluetooth speaker announced recently. They’ve now collaborated with Cecilie Manz, a Danish industrial designer, to develop the “Dune Crafted Edition.” The edition is limited to 100 copies, available numbered on www.bang-olufsen.com starting March 24th.
Bang & Olufsen has used its Beosound A1 2nd Generation to blueprint several special models. The most recent of these is the Bang & Olufsen Beosound A1 Dune Crafted Edition, which was just revealed.
The Bang & Olufsen Beosound A1 2nd Gen Waterproof Bluetooth Speaker was initially released in June 2020. Since then, different unique models have been designed to address this issue, the most recent of which was created in partnership with a Danish designer.
Cecilie Manz also inspired the Beoplay P2, Beoplay P6, and Beolit 17 portable Bluetooth speakers, as well as the Beoplay M3 and Beoplay M5 wireless multiroom speakers, providing a wonderful overview of Bang & Olufsen’s wide variety of design approaches.
Bluetooth speaker from the premium segment
Manz’s unique gradient design is produced by combining two colors using a time-consuming and rigorous anodizing technique designed specifically for Bang & Olufsen.
The Bang & Olufsen team created a method of mixing the colors using gradients after much research and trial. Rather than spray painting the grille, which would leave undesirable paint droplets, the color is applied by anodizing the metal, giving each one a distinct look.
Due to their common love for modern artistry and design innovation, Bang & Olufsen was delighted to work with Cecilie Manz again. They intended to appreciate the speaker’s iconic design while also exploring the materiality of aluminum by allowing Manz, the original creator of the A1, to use the aluminum grill as an artistic canvas for this special edition.
As a result, the coloring process was introduced to a new and unique technique. According to the manufacturer’s description, the matcha green and red-beige hues on the aluminum grille mix smoothly with the light grey underside of the speaker.
The sand-colored leather strap is adorned with an aluminum plaque etched with the Bang & Olufsen emblem on one side and the number of the one-of-a-kind item on the other. The grill on the Beosound A1 may look nice to the touch & provide a connection with the device.
It’s the ideal portable speaker, with a powerful, bass-rich sound that’s meant to be enjoyed with everyone – for hours at a stretch. The Beosound A1 is dirt and water-resistant, and it can play for up to 18 hours nonstop.
The product arrives with a Multipoint feature & True360 omnidirectional sound that enables two devices to connect and command the tunes, making this speaker the ideal focus of attention.
Because of its speakerphone capabilities, the Beosound A1 offers crystal clear voice communications. Bluetooth 5.1 and three internal microphones provide the greatest connection for virtual meetings and hands-free talks.
The result exemplifies Bang & Olufsen’s distinct approach to designing audio technology for the home, elevating items to works of art via an admiration and refinement of aluminum’s material properties. The product’s craftsmanship exemplifies Bang & Olufsen’s philosophy, which is based on the conviction that creating magic is something that can never hasten.
If you like the design, you’ll have to dig a little farther into your wallet for the limited edition. The Dune Crafted Edition costs 500 euros per speaker, while the Beosound A1 costs 299 euros otherwise.
