Sony is one of the top brands in providing sound solutions to customers. Recently, Sony announced a software update for its premium soundbars, the HT-A7000 and HT-A5000 which will add 360 Spatial Sound Mapping capabilities to both of them.
The 360 Spatial Sound Mapping was first featured in the HT-A9 Home Theater system the previous year and it is well-received among customers.
Customers will be able to use the 360 Spatial Sound feature by connecting these soundbars to the currently available SA-RS3S wireless rear speakers. This feature will also be available with the new SA-RS5 wireless rear speakers which are all set to launch in spring 2022.
The 360 Spatial Sound Mapping feature from Sony allows users to feel sound from every direction and distance. This gives a more immersive sound experience to the users no matter where they sit in a room.
The soundbar achieves this by measuring the relative height and position of the soundbar and speakers using the built-in microphones. Then the technology creates virtual speakers using positional information and synthesizing sound waves. This allows the speakers and soundbar to cover every part of the living space.
Customers with BRAVIA XR television can enhance this experience even more. With the Acoustic Center Sync, your BRAVIA XR TV and the soundbar both become a center speaker as part of the 360 Spatial Sound Mapping. As a result, you get clear dialogues and an immersive experience.
