Garmin introduces Vivosmart 5 fitness tracker to take charge of your health!

Garmin hasn’t introduced a Vivosmart model since the Vivosmart 4 roughly four years ago. However, the new Vivosmart 5 resets the clock with gradual hardware upgrades to the device, including a button, a bigger display, and interchangeable bands.

The Garmin Vivosmart 5 has a big OLED display, a seven-day battery life promise, and various health monitoring capabilities. The rest is mostly software adjustments, such as looping on the sleep algorithm to fit Garmin’s other current devices. However, one significant feature was eliminated: stair tracking.

The simple way to get fit

The Vivosmart 5 is an upgraded version of the Vivosmart 4, released in 2018. It has a similar design to the Vivosmart 4, but it has a more functional, sporty appearance instead of an exquisite feel. In addition, the band has a softened edge, and a metal border no longer surrounds the display.

Garmin also stressed in its news announcement that the screen is 66 percent larger and has larger font to make it simpler to read. The main difference is that the Vivosmart 5 has a physical button, and the swipe-based touchscreen is significantly more user-friendly.

The Vivosmart 5 is intended for comfort, with a curved band that fits over the curvature of your wrist. It is especially crucial for sleep monitoring. Previous Vivosmart trackers featured a unibody design, which meant that straps couldn’t be swapped out.

On the other hand, the Vivosmart 5 offered interchangeable straps. So all you have to do now is take the tracker out of the bag. The Vivosmart 5 is built for day and nightwear since it is swim & shower-proof & got a battery backup of around 7 days.

The Garmin Vivosmart 5 comes in small/medium (24.5g) and large (26.5g). Polycarbonate has been used to build the fitness tracker.
