Sennheiser’s Momentum True Wireless earbuds have gotten many accolades for their sound quality since they first debuted in 2018. Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 2 earphones are among the best wireless earbuds available. And now, their long-awaited successor has finally arrived!
The Momentum True Wireless 3, which have been redesigned, have a sleeker and more premium appearance than the company’s cheaper buds. Though the USB-C charging connection has been moved to the front, the fabric-covered housing has the same form and size as prior generations. Wireless charging is also supported in this new casing, unavailable in earlier generations.
These earbuds are said to have a better fit than the previous models in the line. With advanced tech like ANC, Signature Audio from Sennheiser are some of the features that enrich the way of MTW-3 audio excellence. In addition, a Sound Personalisation tool is also available, which develops a personalized audio personality for the person depending on a supervised listening test.
A superior sound experience
Apart from the new look, Sennheiser claims that the new earbuds increase convenience, active noise cancellation, and call performance. However, there are no significant improvements in two critical areas: audio quality and battery life.
The redesigned Momentum True Wireless 3 includes the same powerful 7mm drivers as earlier models, which “generates an enveloping stereo sound with rumbling bass, realistic mids, and crisp highs,” Sennheiser. A Smart Control App is also available for toggling amongst audio presets and using an equalizer. In addition, the usual AAC and SBC audio codecs and Qualcomm aptX Adaptive are all enabled.
Adaptive noise cancellation technology is built into the earphones, which detects ambient noise and modifies noise cancellation accordingly. There’s also a pass-through mode, which allows more ambient noise.
They have a Sound Personalisation function that allows users to create a custom audio profile and a Smart Control Application that offers fine-tune performance. Sennheiser claims that adding three mics to each earbud has resulted in significant improvements and “crystal clear quality” for audio and video teleconferencing.
IPX4-rated build quality with extra comfort
The front of the casing contains a USB Type-C charging connection and wireless charging capabilities, which is new to the Momentum series. In addition, the new sleek and futuristic ergonomic design, which won a Red Dot Design Award in 2022, allows for a long-lasting comfortable fit. Various silicone earbud tips are also included to accommodate various ear sizes.
They also have an IPX4 water resistance rating, making them ideal for practically any activity, and are available in Black, Graphite, and White color options. So, whether you are moving in the rain or working out hard, the new Sennheiser earbuds provide a premium listening experience in any situation.
Each earbud has three microphones for clear calls and touchpad controls on the outside for managing calls, controlling music, and activating the smart assistant. It has a battery backup of 7 continuous hrs of playback, with the power bank providing an added playback period of 28 hrs.
Sennheiser isn’t making any major modifications to the Momentum True Wireless 3s, save from a new design. The firm believes that these will appeal to the same demographic as previous models in the series: those who value sound quality.
