The T7 Shield, the latest member of Samsung’s T7 portable SSD portfolio, has been officially launched. With the latest addition, the company has added a tough cookie to its T7 portable solid-state drive line-up, which previously included the T7 Touch.
It also has a CES award-winning PSSD with a built-in fingerprint sensor for increased data security and the T7, a daily driver that provides amazingly fast speeds in a stylish form. The new T7 Shield is optimized for mobile producers who need quick data transfer and data encryption in an SSD that can withstand 3-meter drops and is further waterproof!
A more stable version of SSD:
According to Samsung, the T7 Shield is the company’s most robust PSSD until yet, making it perfect for outdoor content creators or travelers who require a data-rich experience without worrying about data loss due to the elements or life’s misfortunes.
The T7 Shield, which preserves the same internal hardware as the T7 though a more robust design, comes with an IP65 water-resistant aluminum casing that can withstand rain, dust, crush tolerance & security from 9.8 feet.
A fabricated outer layer secures the SSD & due to its business card size, you can use them during travels. They can be brought in 3 different color variants: black, blue & beige. It has various built-in cables like USB Type-C to-C & USB Type-C to Type-A.
According to Samsung, the T7 Shield got speed rates of around 1050mbps, which is 1.9 times quicker than SATA-type compact SSDs. In addition, Samsung has improved the interior and exterior of the T7 Shield by modifying the surface material and enhancing the software to address performance deterioration and overheating that happen when transferring huge files.
Samsung can send around 2TB of data without deviating from its Dynamic Thermal Guard feature, which pushes the force of data transfer to save the hardware. As a result, it offers data to move seamlessly without degrading its overall performance while conducting vital tasks quickly like HQ video storing, processing, and visualization.
The T7 Shield Portable SSD has various compact features and lets customers deploy it on various gadgets such as PCs, mobiles, and gaming devices. On a PC, Mac, Smartphone, or gaming console, Samsung’s T7 Shield can store many photos, games, and 4K and 8K films. The T7 Shield incorporates 256-bit Advanced Encryption Standard protocols to ensure that the user data is safe & secured even if you lose the T7 Shield.
Like the T7 Touch, this adventure-ready model can handle consecutive read rates of 1,050 MB/s and sequential write capabilities of 1,000 MB/s over USB 3.2 Gen2, so customers don’t need to worry about picking between performance & durability. It also comes with Samsung’s Magician Software, allowing users to control the drive easily.
The T7 Shield comes in beige, black, and blue colors and is available in 1TB and 2TB capacities, making it suitable for various applications. The T7 Shield will be available at all Samsung retail locations, leading consumer electronics stores, and digital sites, including Samsung’s online store – Samsung Shop, for $290 for 2TB and $160 for 1TB.
