After months of anticipation and numerous leaks, the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2022 event ultimately took place on February 9, 2022. Samsung has announced the forthcoming Galaxy smartphone and Galaxy tablet at the event, as bookings for both devices have already begun in the United States.
The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is the brand’s most premium smartphone product for 2022, as announced during the Galaxy Unpacked 2022 event. A specialized S Pen slot also addresses the hole left by the discontinued Galaxy Note series.
Samsung has unveiled the most expected Android flagship of 2022, the Samsung Galaxy S22, and its Android tablet series, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8. For those who aren’t up to date, Samsung has announced a total of six devices over two product lines.
The Galaxy S22 series, which features the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+ & Galaxy S22 Ultra smartphones, is the first list. The Galaxy Tab S8, Galaxy Tab S8+ & Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra are the three devices in the brand-new Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 line.
These smartphones’ pricing and specifications, and official photos from Samsung’s regional website, have already been released. The Ultra version features a built-in S Pen, the genuine protege to the Samsung Galaxy Note line.
Samsung Galaxy S22
A 6.8-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel is featured on the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. The curved display was protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+. Having a maximum brightness of 1750 nits, the Galaxy S22 Ultra has the brightest panel of any smartphone. It has an LTPO display, which allows it to adjust between 1Hz and 120Hz refresh rates based on the content on the screen.
The Galaxy S22 Ultra is available in four storage configurations: 8GB + 128GB, 12GB + 256GB, 12GB + 512GB, and 12GB + 1TB. For 1199 USD, you can have the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. The Galaxy S22 Ultra is available at a 5000 mAh battery & can charge at 45W. It also features a 15-watt wireless charging functionality.
You have to buy a charger separately. It offers two CPU alternatives under the hood: the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC and the Exynos 2200. The variant from India is planned to be used in the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC.
A 108MP primary camera consisting of f/1.8 aperture is featured on the rear of the camera system of the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. A 12MP, 120-degree ultrawide camera with an f/2.2 aperture is also included in the quad-camera configuration. Two 10MP telephoto camera sensors are integrated, featuring an optical zoom of 3x & 10x, respectively.
