The new PROSTAFF P7 series of binoculars is the successor of Nikon’s popular PROSTAFF 7S binoculars and the new ones have significant upgrades in terms of design and power.
And here are all the key features of the new series of binoculars from Nikon:
In terms of field of view, these ones have w wide apparent field of view which is 62.6° for 8×30, and 62.9° for 10×42. For brighter images and more natural color fidelity, these binoculars come with dielectric high-reflective multilayer prism coating.
The coating helps in getting the best in class transmittance uniformity in the entire visible range. To provide users with high-resolution output, these binoculars come with phase-correction-coated roof prisms.
Nikon has also added multilayer coats on the prisms and lenses to give out brighter images for the users. And one of the common issues of fingerprint smudges is resolved by adding oil and water repellent coating on the eyepieces and the objective lens.
Nikon has also made sure that these binoculars are perfect for people who wear eyeglasses and for that they have adapted the long eye relief design. The design helps all the eyeglass wearers to get a more clear field of view while using these binoculars.
Sometimes, users face unintentional rotation of the binoculars, and to prevent that, Nikon has added a dioptre adjustment ring locking system on these.
The brand is also using lead and arsenic-free glass to make the prisms and lenses of these binoculars which is good at many levels.
These roof-type binoculars are rugged and are waterproof and fog-free as they have O-ring seals and nitrogen gas. The grip on the binoculars is also supposed to be comfortable as it has rubber armoring which doubles as a shock resistance mechanism. For greater usability, Nikon is using fiberglass-reinforced polycarbonate resin to make these.
