MSI Launches MEG 342C QD-OLED Curved Gaming Monitor

MSI introduced the MEG 342C QD-OLED, a sling gaming display featuring a 34-inch Samsung QD-OLED display and precise dot flashpoints. The monitor has a high black depth and contrast ratio & per-pixel HDR dimming with near-instant response times.

This monitor takes advantage of the first opportunity in the OLED gaming monitor market and demonstrates MSI’s potential to simultaneously integrate software and hardware functions to provide high-end gamers with products that perform better and provide a more satisfying gaming experience.

The world’s prominent developer of original gaming resources expands the upcoming tech-oriented panel series with this brand-new screen.

Curved display for gameplay

Alienware announced its QD-OLED gaming display at CES 2022, the world’s 1st QD-OLED gaming display series. Since then, there aren’t any announcements about any QD-OLED monitors or TVs.

The display, known as the MEG 342C QD-OLED, has a sling 34-inch QD-OLED display, similar to the Alienware. On the other hand, MSI has chosen FreeSync Premium Pro over G-Sync Ultimate, which should mean a lower retail price.

The feature is the same as the Alienware, around UWQHD (3440 * 1440) & it perfectly accommodates most gaming titles with a 1800R variation. The production stage’s pre-determined color guarantees that the color precision faces the industry standard – Delta E2.

When quantum points are integrated with OLED screen technology, the MSI specific color function, QD premium coloring, is maintained & MSI real color and the proprietary advanced color features are supported.

Color accuracy of around 99% DCI-P3, 98% Adobe RGB & 139% sRGB ensure a vivid gaming experience and everyday casual entertainment. With the world’s largest 0.1 ms GTG reaction period & 175 Hz refresh rate, you can stay upfront of the competition.

In terms of style, it not only has a dignified, elegant, and mystical design, but it also features MSI Gaming Intelligence, displaying MSI’s hardware & software integration capabilities. The current QD-OLED system combines tech features & player demands while accomplishing evolving needs with MSI’s innovative product manufacturing.

Sound Tune AI-based noise-reduction is further included & with an in-built advanced processor that can be managed through your mobile. The additional features are Smart Crosshair, PBP/PIP support, an ambient light sensor, and a built-in KVM functionality.

All new HMI 2.0 technology

Finally, MSI has also launched a new technology – HMI 2.0, a dial for controlling MSI PC and monitoring operations. The OSD on the monitors can also be managed directly using the dial. Thanks to integrating particular functions from a high-end PC & a gaming display into a single gaming button, the MSI gaming desktop and monitor may be easily integrated with enhanced information & functionality.

HMI 2.0 tech is expected to function as the basic feature of MSI’s future-generation MEG AEGIS Ti5 AEGIS control. The monitor OSD menu can be completely overviewed through the gaming desktop’s button (HMI function).

All gamers need to choose the game they would like to play. The smart processor will inevitably lead the gaming monitor and gaming desktop settings to optimize the system and display with one click, offering players the seamless and most comfortable gaming experience possible.

At the COMPUTEX 2022, the Taiwanese technology exhibition, MSI unveiled this new MEG 342C QD-OLED curved gaming monitor, which was themed this year on AI-Connected X-Experience, Innovative Computing, Digital Resilience, Increased Sustainability, Modern Innovations & Blooming Startups.
