With CES 2023 just around the corner, every tech brand is making new and exciting announcements. At CES, all tech brands unveil the best products and technologies they are working on. As we move towards the end of the year, MSI also has an exciting announcement of its own.
They recently announced a new laptop called MSI Titan GT77 HX. This is a dream laptop for any user who needs a stunning display. MSI says that it is the first one to have a 4K Mini LED display with a refresh rate of 144Hz, which is quite remarkable.
The Design
Let’s talk about the things that we know about this laptop. Well, the most visible thing is the design, which follows the same design pattern as any of the high-end MSI laptops. Sleek and classy black finish with the MSI logo on the back.
There are also vents extending from the back of the laptop with RGB lighting, which looks cool. On the front, you have a big RGB backlit keyboard that is any gamer’s dream. Overall, the design of the laptop is quite futuristic and matches the whole gamer vibes.

MSI is highly focused on the display aspect of the laptop. We all know that the brand makes some of the best laptops in the game, and their gaming laptops are used worldwide by avid gamers.
So now they are adding more value for gamers with the new Titan GT77. This is a flagship laptop model from MSI, so it comes with all the best specs that you can imagine. However, the display is the most stunning part of the laptop.
It features a 4K/144Hz Mini LED display, and as per MSI, this is the first laptop in the world with this type of display. Usually, we see 4K/144Hz displays in premium gaming monitors. So having it on a laptop is an added advantage.
The Display Specs
This new 4K display with a 144Hz refresh rate is backed by AUO’s AmLED Mini LED technology. As per the brand, it enables you to get excellent backlighting, great HDR performance, and stunning colors.
This is a big 17.3-inches display with an aspect ratio of 16:9. It has a 4K resolution with 3840×2160 pixels. The response time is 3ms with Overdrive. It has over 1008 (K-Zone) diminishing zones, so users will get excellent image quality with less halo effect.
The display is super bright and can go all the way to 1000 nits. They have also equipped it with exclusive AmLED’s Adaptive Control Technology. This technology enhances the HDR performance by adjusting the images in real time dynamically.
It also comes with VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certification, so when it comes to HDR, this display is one of the best you can get. To reproduce all the colors efficiently, this display comes with a super-wide 100% DCI-P3 color gamut. So users will see the most accurate colors on this display. It comes in really handy when you are working with special photos and video editing projects.
What Else?
So far, MSI has only announced the laptop and highlighted how great its display is. Other technical specifications of the laptop are not yet available.
