It’s no secret that LG makes some of the best gaming monitors. That is why they are a pretty popular choice among gamers. A big reason for that is innovation. Taking the lead again, LG unveiled two new OLED gaming monitors for their UltraGear series.
There is a 27-inch model and a new 45-inch curved model. Both of them have a 240Hz refresh rate. Since it is LG, you know you will get the best. So let’s explore all the new features of these new UltraGear Gaming monitors and how they can be helpful for gamers.
New LG OLED UltraGear Gaming Monitors
LG unveiled two new gaming monitors in their latest announcement. Both of the monitors belong to the UltraGear lineup. Here are both models:
- The 27-inch LG UltraGear OLED Gaming Monitor (27GR95QE)
- The 45-inch LG UltraGear Curved OLED Gaming Monitor (45GR95QE)
Apart from the screen size, one key difference between the both is that the latter is curved. So if you like to play games on a curved monitor, the latter can be great for you.
If you are interested in seeing the monitors in action then LG will be displaying them at CES 2023. With these two new models in their premium UltraGear lineup, LG aims to capture the growing gaming market.
As you can see above, both monitors have an incredible 240Hz refresh rate which is quite remarkable. LG claims these are the first-ever gaming monitors with 240Hz OLED panels. There are not a lot of 240Hz gaming monitors available right now.
So it is an excellent way for LG to dominate the sector. Also, the response time of these monitors is a mere 0.03 Gray-to-Gray(GTG) which is quite fast. Combine that with the display quality from LG, and you will have a perfect OLED display for yourself.
The 27-inch 27GR95QE UltraGear OLED Gaming Monitor
Most of the latest AAA gaming titles demand a lot from the display to deliver an immersive gaming experience to the users. Well, the new 27-inch UltraGear OLED gaming monitor can handle that efficiently. This one features a 27-inch QHD OLED panel with a resolution of 2,560X1,440 pixels.

Then it has a remarkable refresh rate of 240Hz. As per LG, it is the first-ever monitor with that kind of refresh rate.
Interestingly, this is not a regular panel. It is an Anti-glare & Low Reflection (AGLR) panel. So the users have more clarity when looking at the screen even if the lighting conditions are not good.
With an advanced screen refresh rate, the monitor also has excellent features such as variable refresh rate (VRR), NVIDIA G-SYNC, and FreeSync Premium.
Finally, let’s talk about the connectivity options: There are two HDMI 2.1 ports, a DisplayPort 1.4, three USB 3.0 ports(one upstream and two downstream), and a 4pole H/P out (DTS HP:X). So users will have no difficulty connecting this monitor to their gaming PC or console.
The 45-inch 45GR95QE UltraGear Curved OLED Gaming Monitor
LG has also launched a 45-inch UltraGear Curved OLED gaming monitor. This one features a 45-inch WQHD OLED display with a resolution of 3,440×1,440 pixels and a 21:9 aspect ratio. The rest of the specifications are the same as the 27-inch model.

However, this curved gaming monitor is a much better choice for gamers as it could deliver a better and more immersive gaming experience. The connectivity options are the same: two HDMI 2.1 ports, a DisplayPort 1.4, three USB 3.0 ports(one upstream and two downstream), and a 4pole H/P out (DTS HP:X).
