Usually, when you go to buy earbuds, there are two choices when it comes to fitting: there are open ear tip earbuds and then there are sealed ear tip earbuds.
It all depends on the user and their music preferences. While the earbuds with open eartips allow you to stay in touch with the outer environment, the earbuds with closed eartips isolate you and allow you to listen to music without any disturbances.
So now we have JBL trying to bring both of them in a single set of earbuds. Yes! You heard that right! JBL has announced new JBL Tune Flex TWS earbuds and these are one-of-a-kind TWS earbuds with JBL’s ‘Sound Fit’ technology. The new earbuds are truly iconic as they might also be the world’s first transformable earbuds.
Six Modes of ANC
Different environments require different sound preferences and for that, JBL has added six ANC(Active Noise Cancellation) modes to the new JBL Tune Flex TWS earbuds.
So there are different settings you can enable for your earbuds whether you are using them with open or sealed eartips. And the different modes make sure that you get the best music experience with noise-canceling according to your preferences.
Two Design One Set of Earbuds
The only truly remarkable feature of these earbuds is the design. These new JBL Tune Flex can be used as open eartips earbuds or as sealed eartips earbuds.
Depending on your surroundings, you can switch between the two modes of listening and get the best music experience.

When you are in an open environment where you need to know what’s happening around you, these earbuds can be used with the open eartips design and when you just want to isolate and listen to songs, you can use the sealing eartips in three different sizes from the box to get lost in music and thoughts.
Another great thing is the ‘Sound Fit’ technology that allows you more customizations and personalization of your earbuds and you can do it all using the JBL Headphones app.
Great Performance
Since it is an audio product coming from JBL, you can expect good sound quality from these earbuds. The new JBL Tune Flex TWS earbuds come with iconic JBL Pure Bass Sound. For great audio quality on calls, it has 4 mics.
If we talk about the battery life on these then the earbuds alone can give you 8 hours of playback with ANC off and the battery life can be further extended up to 24 hours with the charging case. That is more than sufficient battery life for TWS earbuds.
The earbuds are also IPX4 rated so they are splash proof and you can take them outside without worrying too much.
Seamless Connectivity
The new JBL Tune Flex earbuds offer seamless connectivity and pairing. All you have to do is flip open the case and pair them, and you are all good to go for calls, music, and whatever you want to listen to.
There is a Dual Connect feature that allows you to use these earbuds as solo or as conventional earbuds without any problems.
The earbuds also come with Google Assistant support which allows you to do a lot of hands-free tasks.
Pricing and Availability
If we talk about the pricing of the new JBL Tune Flex TWS earbuds then they are priced at EUR 99.99 and the earbuds will be arriving starting this August.
Interested users can buy them from the official JBL online store from August. There are three color options for the new earbuds: Black, Blue, and White. There is also and JBL Tune Flex Ghost special edition that combines all of the three colors.
The only catch here is that people either prefer open eartips or sealed ones and there are not a lot of users who want both of them. So it will be interesting to see the reception of these earbuds in the market.
