Garmin has always been the talk of the town for its fitness-oriented watches. During CES 2022, it’ll be ramping up its smartwatch strategy by launching the Venu 2 Plus and Vivomove Sport.
Garmin Venu 2 Plus
The Venu 2 Plus is now added with a speaker and microphone, which helps you to pick phone calls & enables your device’s voice assistant directly from your wrist. In contrast, the Vivomove Sport combines a smartwatch & a conventional wristwatch. It has an amazing feature that consists of modular ticking hands on the touchscreen placed on top.

The earlier Venu 2 version was already a fantastic wearable with holistic fitness tracking functionalities has earned them the 2021 – CNET Editors’ Choice Award. However, the absence of a speaker and microphone prevented it from competing with other wearables.
The Venu 2 Plus has a strong reminiscence to the Venu 2. It consists of a bright, circular AMOLED display convenient that enables us to see during the bright sunshine. However, it has an added button that helps you communicate with your smartphone speakers with a long press. A shortcut or favorite can also be assigned to a single press.
Another distinctive feature between the Venu 2 series & the Venu 2 Plus is that the smartwatch is available in a sole variant of size – 43mm. At the same time, the Venu 2 and 2S can be purchased in 45mm and 40mm, respectively.
The Venu 2 Plus comes with an extensive battery life expectancy of up to 9 days, beating its competitors to a far extent. Moreover, the watch preserves the features of Venu 2 and 2S, meaning that it is also equipped with built-in GPS, sleep monitoring, blood-oxygen tracker, and health and fitness tracking modes.
Like Fitbit’s watches, both the Venu 2 Plus and Vivomove Sport have been designed to be compatible with iOS and Android, exhibiting convenience to all users.
vívomove Sport

With upgrading the Venu 2 series, Garmin has also unveiled its new hybrid smartwatch – Vívomove Sport, a combination of traditional watches with a touchscreen display. The watch is perfect for those who desire a fashionable timepiece featured with wellness tools.
The Vivomove Sport shares many features with the Venu 2 Plus, except Vivomove Sport uses additional GPS connectivity and needs to be paired with a smartphone.
The cool inclusion of ticking watch hands is Vivomove Sport’s main selling point. If you want to communicate with it, move your hands slightly to unveil the touchscreen, which looks like a regular wristwatch all of the time.
The watch is inspired by the luxe comfort trend and exudes aesthetic colorways with a silicone band paired with color-coordinated dials. Battery lasts for 5 days and can be extended under watch mode. All data collectively stay under the Garmin connect app for more convenience.
The watch is equipped with all kinds of fitness and wellness apps, ranging from body battery energy monitoring to many women’s health features. Also, various safety and tracking features are packed within the smartwatch for users’ security on the go.
Both watches will be featured in CES 2022 and are now on the market and, with the Venu 2 Plus costing $449.99 and the Vivomove Sport costing $179.99, available at Garmin.com.
