Garmin Announces Descent G1 Solar with Multiple Dive Modes and Solar Charging Feature

Technological advancements are progressing day by day and brands like Garmin are playing an important role in it. Just recently, Garmin announced the Descent G1 Solar smartwatch.

This is not just a regular smartwatch, instead, it is a watch-style dive computer that has all the top-notch features for divers or any adventurer in general.

This smartwatch comes with groundbreaking dive technology, options to track your health and wellness 24/7, all the smartwatch features, and to top it all off, it also has a solar charging option.

Garmin Descent G1 Series: Basic Specifications

The Descent G1 Solar comes with a modern and tough design that can easily stand any test from mother nature. It has a 45mm watch case that houses an easy-to-read, high contrast display.

The new G1 series brings both form and function into the dive lineup offered by Garmin. This smartwatch can work perfectly under and above the water as it is water rated to 10ATM(100 meters) and it is also tested to EN133319 engineering standard for dive compliance. To make the watch more rugged, it comes with leakproof inductive buttons and a sapphire lens.

With Descent G1, users can access depth, dive time, temperature, NDL/TTS, ascent/descent rates, gas mix, PO2, N2 loading, decompression/safety stop information, and time. All of these features can be customized according to the needs of the user. The Garmin Dive app allows users to get analytics related to their dives so that they can easily compare them later.
