DJI Agriculture Launches Mavic 3 Multispectral, A New Tool for Precision Agriculture

As we approach the year’s final month, DJI is making some new and exciting announcements for users. They are leaders in civilian drones, and their Mavic lineup is easily one of the most popular drone series worldwide. Now they added a new drone to the Mavic lineup, and the new one is called DJI Mavic 3 Multispectral under the DJI Agriculture brand. This new drone is aimed at people engaged in agricultural activities, particularly in the field of precision agriculture.

As the name suggests, this drone comes with a multispectral imaging system. This imaging system can quickly and effectively capture crop growth. Farmers can engage in more effective crop production with better information about the growth.

DJI Agriculture is already planning to bring new innovations for users. Now with the launch of the Mavic 3 Multispectral, they are opening new possibilities for users. The new DJI Agriculture Mavic 3 Multispectral follows the design of the iconic DJI Mavic 3 consumer drone. This means that it is also lightweight and compact. It weighs around 951 grams, which is relatively light, and users can pact it in a normal bag.

Advanced RGB and Multispectral Imaging System

The new Mavic 3 Multispectral, or as DJI likes to call it, Mavic 3M, features a two-in-one camera system. It allows the drone to collect diverse crop information to apply the results on a scale.

  • Green (G): 560nm ± 16nm
  • Red (R): 650 nm ± 20 nm
  • Red edge (RE): 730 nm ± 20 nm

The new Mavic 3M comes with O3 video transmission. It combines two transmitting signal channels and four receiving signal channels.
