Asus currently sells a vast range of gaming laptops, and distinguishing between the many series and models might be difficult. The basic TUF version – the ROG Strix series for E-sports & casual gaming, the ROG Zephyrus series for style & power. The ROG Flow version is also available.
This firm is no stranger to testing different form factors, and this time they have introduced two new premium laptops, following the relaunch of its ROG Strix and TUF gaming laptops with the brand-new Intel and AMD components in early 2022. The latest ROG Flow X16 & Strix Scar 17 SE (Recent Edition) got the latest AMD Intel systems, RTX GPUs & various other functionalities.
ROG Strix Scar 17 SE with top-notch performance

The recent ROG Strix Scar 17 SE, built on Intel’s latest Core HX handset CPUs, is a highly formidable choice for its 2022 Strix range. It is a Personal Computer-based CPU that got repackaged & re-designed to function around 55W, offering various cores & highly efficient CPU forces.
If the GPU isn’t in use, the CPU can utilize up to 175W of power using Dynamic Boost, which means you can get huge performance. A text-oriented design was built by Asus on the top lid using customized disappearing ink. The model seems calm in usual lighting, but it glows brightly in a green-blue color variant when reflected in a blue-colored LED/UV light.
ASUS uses a massive vapor chamber for cooling that covers about half of the motherboard to keep everything running cool. In addition, the business developed a novel thermal compound called “Conductonaut Extreme” in partnership with Thermal Grizzly, which it uses on both the CPU and GPU. Compared to ordinary thermal paste, ASUS claims a temperature reduction of up to 15°C, also 5°C less than conventional liquid metal.
This processor and GPU are combined with around 64GB of dual-channel DDR5 4800MHz RAM & around 4TB of RAID 0 PCIe 4.0 SSD. It has a 17.3-inch display on the front, in two sizes. Both panels have a response time of 3 milliseconds.
Backlit chiclet keyboard with RGB and Aura Sync, four speakers with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio, Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi 6E, a 90Whr battery pack, and different USB and display connections are among the other features.
ROG Flow X16 – portable and versatile

Asus has launched the ROG Flow X16, the upgraded version of the seamless ROG Flow X13 tiny 2-in-1 & the Flow Z13 standalone tablets. This new device does not fit the same template – it’s much larger and looks more like a typical laptop – but it does provide a level of versatility that could appeal to gamers looking for a powerful multi-purpose gaming machine.
It has the potential to be more powerful and useful, but it will still appeal to a small group of people. At 19.4mm, the ROG Flow X16 is thin by gaming laptop standards, yet it feels very robust. It weighs 2kg and is wide enough to accommodate a 16-inch 16:10 screen.
The AMD Ryzen 9 6900HS processor in the ASUS ROG Flow X16 is a 35W processor featuring 8 cores and 16 threads. The inclusion of an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti graphics card, which is a significant increase over the RTX 3050 Ti found in the Flow X13, is even more striking.
The ROG Flow X16 has up to 64GB DDR5 RAM and a 2TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD for memory and storage. To keep the Flow X16 cool during intense operations and long-session gaming, Asus has included a new “Frost Force” cooling system with a Thermal Grizzly-made liquid thermal compound.
