Laptops are getting pretty sleek these days. Brands are making slim laptops by eliminating as many ports as possible from their devices. So there is an increasing demand for docks and adapters. CORSAIR, a brand that makes some of the best computer peripherals and accessories, has just launched a new TBT200 Thunderbolt 4 Dock. This new dock unlocks Thunderbolt 4 ports for all compatible laptops, Macs, PCs, and Chromebooks.
Along with that, CORSAIR also launched a new updated TBT100 DP Thunderbolt 3 Dock. So users have two options to choose from. These new docks can be accommodating for professional users who need the extra speed and performance capabilities of Thunderbolt 4.
Starting things off with the all-new CORSAIR TBT200 Thunderbolt 4 Dock. So this new dock has four Thunderbolt ports. One is the host-facing, and then there are three downstream-facing ports. Then it also adds many new connection options for users. This includes HDMI 2.0 port, a 3.5mm audio jack, a USB Type-C port, USB Type-A ports, DisplayPort 1.4, an ethernet port, and many other cool features.
Although the design of a USB dock is not a primal thing of importance, this one still has a minimal yet stylish design, just the way it should be. It has an aluminum casing that looks classy and can easily go with any setup. The dock is great for both types of users: the ones who want many connectivity options and those who need a power setup. This is great as users don’t have to buy countless adapters; it can all be done using a single cable.
All of the powerful and advanced laptops that are compatible with Thunderbolt 4 can utilize the TBT200 dock and unlock many connection options. The bandwidth is pretty much the same on Thunderbolt 4(around 40Gbps) compared to its predecessor. However, the new Thunderbolt 4 significantly unlocks new connection options. With Thunderbolt 4, users can connect three Thunderbolt devices simultaneously.
It is totally up to the users to choose the connection combination for the displays. Whether it’s HDMI 2.0 or DisplayPort, this dock can do it all. CORSAIR also includes USB Type-C to DisplayPort and USB Type-C to HDMI adapters to add more connectivity options. This is a win-win situation for all the users.
Along with the Thunderbolt 4 ports, the new TBT200 also has many other ports for enhanced connectivity. The dock features three USB-A SuperSpeed 10Gbps ports, USB-C SuperSpeed 10Gbps, and three downstream-facing Thunderbolt 4 ports that can also double as USB-C ports. Then there is a 3.5mm audio jack, an ethernet port, and a UHS-II SD 4.0 card reader. So this dock can connect any device that you want to your PC.
This dock is also a powerful charging dock, with up to 96W of host power delivery. So it can power your high-performance laptop when it needs high power. Along with that, it can also charge many other devices simultaneously.
The new TBT200 Thunderbolt 4 dock also has a built-in Kensington Security Slot. So it can go seamlessly with your workstation.
CORSAIR also updated the famous TBT100 Dock, and now it is the new TBT100 DP Thunderbolt 3 Dock. This new dock unlocks Thunderbolt 3 connectivity options and adds two DisplayPort 1.4 ports. There are many connectivity options on this new dock as well.
