DJI Launches New Mavic 3

DJI has launched the new Drone – Mavic 3, with revolutionary features; an upgrade to its predecessor Mavic 2, claiming to be the most comprehensive improvement to the Mavic series to date.

The global leader redefines what drones can be with Mavic 3, creating “magic from the sky” with an iconic upgrade to the folding cameras by boosting performance in different ways to offer new possibilities for both flight and fun.

Redesigned from tip to tail, DJI has equipped the folding camera drone. Mavic 3 has a 4/3 CMOS Hasselblad Camera, 28x hybrid zooming camera, omnidirectional sensors to detect obstacles with a range of up to 200 meters, and a great battery backup that allows more than 46 minutes of flight time.

The Drone displays unparalleled flight performance, with upgraded software and hardware, capable of processing 5.1k video at 50fps under subtle colors at low light sensitivity.

The Drone supports 4K video at 120fps to provide even higher quality results for slow-motion footage. Mavic 3 cine edition comes with Apple ProRes 422 HQ encoding and 1TB SSD, offering richer video processing with high-speed storage.

The newly customized Drone packs an L2D-20c aerial camera, which embeds a professional 4/3 CMOS sensor and a 24mm prime lens, all together in a sleek and compact body.

Hasselblad grade software and hardware offer shooting 20MP still images in 12-bit RAW format and smoother video footage. The large sensor provides high video resolution with increased efficiency in suppressing noise in low lights.

A 12.8 clicks dynamic range provides capabilities in retaining details in highlights while preserving the rich visuals. With an aperture of f/2.8 – f/11, Mavic 3 meets the demands of aerial photography, capturing sharp images in every light setting.

The Drone is ultra-light, weighing only 12.5gms, and is equipped with an 84° FOV autofocus prime lens and 162mm tele lens for even better and clearer capture of distance data, optimizing focusing speed, powered with an f/4.4 aperture.

With the 10-bit D-Log color profile, Magic 3 offers natural color gradation with advanced post-production flexibility.

Exclusive Upgrades

The Drone emerges with omnidirectional sensors, featuring six fish-eye sensors and dual wide-angle sensors for detecting obstacles ahead and working smoothly in various complicated situations. The Drone comes with an ActiveTrack 5.0 feature and can integrate GPS, GLONASS, and BeiDou signals.

Moreover, an integrated air sense system alerts pilots about nearby planes or geofencing alerts near sensitive locations. Mavic 3 even packs other safety systems like the AeroScope Remote ID system for identifying or monitoring nearby drones in sensitive locations.

The Drone is redesigned with improved power management to enable longer flight times. With improved flight efficiency, compact size, and streamlined body, Mavic 3 poses 35% less drag than its brethren.

The Return to Home system provides enhanced safety to DJI drones under critical conditions. Magic 3 updates the feature by incorporating the ability to determine the quickest and safest route to return to the home point, exuding maximum energy efficiency.

The Drone offers high frame rate transmission at 1080/60fps live feed along with the aid of O3+ to have better control. Furthermore, the Drone brings intelligent modes like Master shots, Panorama, and Quick transfer, editing compelling photos and immersive videos, allowing users to use the Drone to its maximum potential.

The Drone comes with accessories like a smart controller with extended transmission distance, a 65 W fasting charger, and single-lens with a 108-degree wide view, packed with an additional convertible carrying bag. The standard version of Mavic 3 is priced at $2,199, with Fly More Combo with accessories and battery costs $2,999. The DJI Mavic 3 Cine premium combo comes at $4,999.
